As of April 1st 2019, the Chinese Government decided to no longer allow expats to marry in Mainland China. Yes, you read that right and no it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke. We were, in fact, settling into our Airbnb in Greece, organising our up-and-coming […]
Thanks for dropping by 🙂 As you’ve probably read, this is my blog…a blog which has gone through numerous transformations, endless nights of pondering to its purpose and theme and continuous perseverance on keeping it alive. Needless to say, it was a blog about everything.
The name “Nina Loves” came about many moons ago. God knows how, but I believe it was something to do with my younger-self wanting to be all “Devil Wears Prada”, “I have to have a blog to become famous…yadda yadda, oh hello online business, no need to work for a living anymore” and so on and so forth.
Having lived in Shanghai, I’ve come to realise that you can do literally anything if you set your mind to it (cliché quote groan). The amount of inspirational people I’ve met here is astounding. Building businesses from the ground up, working day and night even after coming home from work, spending their weekends on markets come rain or shine. “You guys are hard-core,” is kind of what I want to say when I meet you.
So, without further ado, welcome to my blog of love for all things.
A little about me
Dutch by nature but British by nurture, I moved to Wales with my family back in August 2000 along with my Mama, Papa, younger brother, and two younger sisters.
I met the Mr (real name James) in my first year of university after solemnly swearing that Uni would consist of only studying and no boys…it didn’t quite work out that way…
Eight/Nine years later, I’m living on the other side of the world with my soul mate, best friend and as of July 31st 2018 now fiancé. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect human being to share this adventure with.
P.S. I’ll update my blog cover photo at times with some of my latest, favorite photos 🙂
